Ehud Olmert (Chuck Nutz) and Telephant came down to my place today. I was selling my '62 Concert to Nutzy and Tele came down for the ride.

It was a splendid day as I replaced the filter caps in Nutzys '74 Bandmaster. It needs to be demodded. We'll finish it on another day.

On to the good stuff:

Amps demoed:

1966 Fender Pro Reverb

1962 Fender Concert

1965 JTM-45 + 1968 Purple Marshall 4 x 12 with pre-rolas

1963 Vibroverb + 1969 Fender Vibratone

1971 Marshall Major stack

1969 Marshall Super Bass/1963 Marshall Super Bass + 1971 Marshall 4 x 12 Bass Cab

Guitars Demoed:

My 1958, 1963, 1964, 1966, 1975, 1960 CS Relic Stratocasters

Dave's Gibson SG

Dave's PRS W/P-90s

Shea's American Standard Strat

Shea's Les Paul copy

Effects demoed (we really didn't NEED effects, but what the hell):

1979 MXR Phase-90

Tim Overdrive

Fulltone TTE

Keeley modded TS-9

Beer demoed:

Dos Equis, Newcastle Brown Ale, Miller Genuine Draft, Samuel Adams Cream Stout

We started by demoing my "modded" '66 Pro Reverb. I specifically voiced this amp for a certain club that I play in every week. Freaking great and HUGE.

I then pulled out the new amp for Chucky. Heh heh!

Telephant and I jamming. I am on the '66 P-bass.

Shea on the TTE into the JTM-45 and the '68 4 x 12

Jamming it up. JTM-45 and '62 Concert.

Oh yeah, Ehud w/the '66 Strat.

Me demoing the 1971 Marshall Major Stack. Shook the freaking house it did. Only had it up to about "6", the poor greenbacks and blackbacks were straining from the abuse.

Part of the guitar army. '63, '64 and '58 Strats.

toneparty8.jpg

The Super Basses.

toneparty9.jpg

'63 Strat, '63 Vibroverb and the Vibratone. SRV to the max brothers!

Anyway, thank you gentlemen for a wonderful day. Great company, great beer, great pizza and a great time. We'll have to do it again! Thanks for coming down.

I just hit an E chord with that thing blasting at my 'ead. Funny expression for sure! Blackbacks really help reel-in the brightness of these damn things.

I've decided to call that JTM-45 "Milkshake" - cuz it is so smoooooth.

That amp really sounds great.

Oh my mother {censored}ing God! I just got done jamming on the Concert for about 30 minutes. That tremolo kicks an unholy amount of ass.

I'm absolutely blown away by the tone of this amp. Not to get too ahead of myself, but this will probably be my main go to amp from now on. The Pro Reverb still kicks ass in it's own way, but this Concert is something special.

Can't thank you enough WOT, yesterday brought the rock :rawk:

Also thanks to Telephant for letting me crash at his pad. Ending the day with The Big Lebowski in high def was a perfect finale.

Anyway, I need to get back to the jamming.

Sounds like a great time..lots of good gear...shea and telephant together? Oh boy you had yur hands full.

Oh yeah...who the {censored} brought MGD?
:mad::cry:

Dude, WOT's amps don't need a damn thing except one of his gorgeous guitars plugged into them. Every single one is fantastic in it's own way.

Also Shea = Telephant
