Members Mudder1310
The mean 90s are much more like p90s than the dream. Both solid pickups, but the dream is a bit smoother, the mean with hotter mids.
Members Ron Burgandy
Mean 90 by a long shot. A buddy of mine through one in the bridge position of his Strat for pure awesome rock and roll tones.
Members tlbonehead
I have Dream 90s in one of my guitars. Not a bad pickup but it isn't very P90-ish. Closer to a Tele. The means are made like a real P90 with the wide coil, etc.

Members Herald of Light
While we're on the subject of P90s, anyone know of anything other than the Bluesbucker that's meant to be like a humbucking P90?I'm going to just get one of those and try it, but I may just have to give up and go for the Mean 90s, as well. I like P90s a lot, but they buzz like a mofo with one of my amps, since I just turn it up all the way.
Members Mudder1310
Gibsons P100 is a humbucker in a p90 case. Duncan offer a silent p90, but it doesn't sound like a humbucker. Vintage Vibe has a hum cancelling p90 as well. So it depends, are you looking for a silent p90 or a hum in a p90 case?
Members Herald of Light
Silent P90 or otherwise "equivalent," that also is humbucker sized. My guitars are only humbucker routed. I know about the humbucker sized actual P90s. That's what I'm trying to avoid. I may just have to put up with it, though. That SD one would basically be the sort of thing I'm after, but it's a regular P90 shape, not humbucker sized.
