Members JoshuaLogan
Hey, guys... I already have this nice bareknuckle HSH pickup set, that were supposed to go in the new Ibanez s5470 (I sold off my EBMM petrucci for it like a dumbass) but the new S has a serious problem with sustain... all of them do.... something to do with the new ZR2 trem. It was bad... so I returned it... Anyways, I'm looking at a guitar right now one bay that looks pretty nice but it's HSS. I'm wondering.... how much do you think it'd cost me to have someone route the single coil neck routing to fit a humbucker? Any ideas?
Members dreamspace
would be MUCH easier to just get a stacked single-coil, rail or something. Dimarzio Cruiser neck, it pwns most other neck pickups anyway...be it humbucker or single-coil
Members Bumble
If it's a pickguard guitar, you might actually find a humbucker routing under the guard. If not I'd say it's a $30-$50 job?
Members thefyn
Just did the exact same thing and it cost me $60 and that included shipping it back to me. So around $80 in total. He did a fantastic job.

Members Brick
well at first i thought you were starting from scratch, but now that I know you have a HSS setup, do it yourself. If it has a pickguard, it could possibly already have a humbucker route. But if you have any skill with a router, you should be alright
