It has a lot of potential. I'll have to tweak it more, but this is already sounding a lot better than any other modeler I've ever dealt with. EDIT: Here's an updated mix. Brought the guitars up a bit and messed with the tone some. http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=442291&songID=6640570 EDIT: Killed some fizz. Really liking it now! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=442291&songID=6640720

Members mparsons
I used four different tones layered. I can't remember exactly what and I can't be assed to look right now, but I know it was all preamps into Guitar Hack impulses. I know I used the Tubescreamer clone to drive all of the tracks except one, which I used the Texas Treble booster. 6505 and 6505+ on left I think, Flathill and ACM900 on right. Members OverDriven
Yes sir.Comment on the bad mix? It's just that the drums are really sitting on top of the mix and the guitars behind them.

Members metalfanat1c
{censored}, that sounds kickass. The drums are a bit high in the mix, but the guitar tone is just pure secks.
Members OverDriven
I can see that. You're not far from an incredible sounding mix IMO. I have the RVIII demo and played with it for a while. I thought it blew every single modeler out there away.

Its got that god damn digital fizz though!! Members blargh
I kind of like ReValver's amp sims, though it doesn't play nice with Cubase so I haven't used it much. I prefer Guitar Rig 2's cab models, but you can easily run ReValver into GR2.Here's a REALLY quick {censored}ty chugga clip i posted a month or two ago that has what I think is a pretty decent emulation of 5150 tone... http://www.tindeck.com/audio/filestore/k/kqqv-awful{censored}clip.mp3

You should look into using some cab impulses. They are as accurate as it gets.

Members Spizzledude
Great sounds. Somebody needs to put that Revalver in a friggin box you can take to gigs. Peavey owns it, let's go, do it.

Members leftwing73
WOW. That last clip is killer - very Ride the Lightning. I messed with the demo of RVIII and couldn't get anywhere near that kind of tone out iof it.
Members mparsons
WOW. That last clip is killer - very Ride the Lightning. I messed with the demo of RVIII and couldn't get anywhere near that kind of tone out iof it. Its all in the layering and using some good impulses :lol I've got two "amps" on each side. I'm only using preamps because the impulses I have model a power section already. First I use either the Screamer or the Texas Treble Booster. This punches the gain/treble up a lot. I then turn the amp gain down a LOT, so that it sounds almost more like a hard rock sound than a metal tone. Then its just tweaking the amp to sound good together. I think I was running Valveking and 6505 on the right, and Flathill and ACM900 on the left. The ACM900 sounds REALLY good when its being hit hard by a tube screamer.
