Warm temperatures and your amp

My band is playing an outdoor gig tonight. It's about 105F out here today and were definitely sound checking long before the sun goes down... which means our amps will be running for a good 20 minutes or so in this hot ass weather.

Anything to worry about? Whats the hottest ambient temperature you've ran your amp in?

I've never played a gig in shorts... this should be first. This is only the second time I've ever played outdoors as well. Last time it made our sound REALLY dry... might run some reverb this time if necessary.

aw hell-- unless yer playing on the surface of the sun, a couple degrees here or there's not gonna piss off your amp.. tube amps are small furnaces.. i heat my living room with two el34 amps and a preamp in the winter..

clubs are worse.. no air circulation AND cigarette smoke!

No worries,

I use my gear here in phoenix for outside shows all the time. And my gear is in live in cases..!

I just did a show in 110, in direct sunlite...

Nasty set, but it was well worth it.

Dont think Ill do it again though...

I wouldnt worry about it, just make sure it has time to cool down before throwing it around afterwards..
