Members rifftherapy
For versatility and great tones, ive read a few fantastic reviews for the new MI Audio amps, made in Australia, might be something worth looking into...

Members killgrace
To my ears, MOST of the best sounding tones that I have gotten have been squeezed out of a single or dual channel amp...And there are plenty of amps out there loaded with bells and whistles and a slew of "channels"...but they don't sound all that great. Exceptions that I've played: Diezel VH4 (most versitile/exceptional possibly ever) Bogner Ecstacy 101B Mesa Mark IV Just my opinion.

Members El-Lardo
Gotta be something made by line 6. I mean just how many different amps do these things model. Now the models may not sound as good as the real thing but, I don't think it can get any more versitile than having Fender, Vox, Boogie, Bogner, Marshall,Matchless, Soldano etc. etc. etc. sounds in one box.
