Members saktr-iyko
is there a way to use the frequency response of average ground (what soil composition?) in a musical way? is there any one has does this?

Members Samnite
The response would vary immensely with whatever the subsoil/bedrock happened to be. I suppose you could point an immense woofer (or array of speakers) directly at the ground, then EQ it until things started shaking, but such a setup wouldn't be very portable. Members tommythelurker
What in god's name are you talking about? Sending sound through the ground using it like a filter or eq I guess.
Members metalfanat1c
Well, you'd want really rocky soil, because traditional soil doesn't really vibrate that easily, and the rocks vibrating against each other would amplify the sound... but really, it's way more trouble than it's worth. Maybe if you used an elevated concrete pad (like on some porches) with nothing under it you could use that like a bandpass box with holes toward the bottom to allow the air to escape. Still way too much trouble for what it's worth.

Are we talking about sending a signal to ground or sending sound waves through ground?

Solid object can't really amplify sound...just absorb it.
