Members Heineken
Misinformation bear is misinformed. Incorrect. You just have a squealy transistor sound and for some strange reason you happen to like it:idea:
Members Bumhucker
I use a bad monkey for my dual rect. It makes the tube rectifier setting sound wayyy better. It replaces the loose, flubby low end with a nice tight chunkiness. It also adds some saturation. I turn the gain down to 11 or 12 and on the pedal the level is all the way up, gain all the way down, tone controls at 12.

Members Slaymoar
Boss GE-7. Totally clean, so it doesn't dirty up your clean channel, and you can tailor the mid-boost to your liking. In my experience, OD pedals that kill on some amps sound too nasally on others...being able to tweak the EQ curve to your liking takes care of this.+1! I use an EQ in front of the amp to boost, and in the effects loop to EQ. Sounds stupid, but try it and see !!-D
Members petejt
I use a Danelectro Fish & Chips EQ pedal to boost my Engl Fireball's clean channel into gritty light overdrive. For heavy rhythms I use the second channel- plenty of gain without a boost.

Sounds stupid, but try it and see !! -D I do the same thing (for the light overdrive stuff while using the clean channel).and use a parametric equaliser in the loop for eq'ing.
