IIRC, he was in his 40s or something like that...had some personal problems, and eventually died some way or another. Think I saw a thread on keys one time about a forumite passing away too. Then there was a big mixup because his dead brother had sold a pedal to another dude and didn't ship it yet. Lots of drama. He ended up posting the newpaper article and everything. It was legit.
