Members fallencreations
Before the motocross event started he played the Star Spangled Banner. This was one of the worst performances I have ever heard. It was a complete joke. I am searching for vids but I cannot locate any right now. Members chaos2767
yea! That was the WORST rendition of the national anthem I have ever heard!!! Hw missed a few notes and added some in the wrong places. HORRIBLE:facepalm:Also the guitar smoking was kinda ghey. For people who are interested in starting to play guitar, that was not a good promotional tool for Gibson, showing that there guitars catch on fire. He should of had a Bugera on stage but it probably would of REALLY cought on fire!!!

Members crabfunk
Some of our friends who have kids who ride motocross had us over to watch the event. I thought having Ace play was a pretty cool idea, until he started. Man, it was embarrassingly bad. No, even worse than that. He was never a great player, but I was a fan back in the day. But now ... Members Reverend179
Y'know, is the whole heavily distorted Star Spangled Banner thing played out yet? I mean, c'mon.

Members Ripfence
That was awful. I think he might have played it a little better if the guitar was actually on fire.
Members Electrikon
I liked it. For me it was Rock n Roll.
Members gh0st
Ace is way past his prime. The drugs have messed him up good.

Members Mister Crow
I love Ace, but that was tough to watch. It wouldn't have killed him to maybe practice it a bit before going out there. I get the feeling he just winged it...and he crashed. It got worse as it went along. Members SG-DAWG
I can tell you for sure that 99.9% of the people listening that dont play guitar/intruments never knew he hit wrong notes. This is why sucky bands sometimes are more popular then good bands. Its all about how entertaining the band is. People could give a {censored} if you nail a solo or even if you do one for that matter.

Members catalinagooseV2
That's a tough melody to wing because everybody knows that tune and everybody can hear it when you hit a wrong note. Also, that smoke must be very distracting, especially when it's pretty obvious he didn't practice the song.

It was bad but it did not seem like anyone in the audience cared. I've seen worse.
Members EdgeOfDarkness
I would have had the smoke going the whole time, then blamed smoke in my eyes for all the {censored} ups. I need to install a smoke machine ASAP.
Members lenduffy
Sounded like the crowd dug it...and it a show, ya know? Yeah he flubbed notes but so did Hendrix @ woodstock. DISCLAIMER: I AM IN NO WAY COMPARING JIMI'S PERFORMANCE @ WOODSTOCK WITH ACE'S LITTLE SHINDIG HERE.

Members Husafreak
My wife summed it up pretty good when about a minute in she said, "he's having a really hard time with this, dontcha think?" Makes the rest of the old band seem pretty smart for moving on...
