But I don't see that as a buttload of work. It reminds me a bit of both Over Under Sideways Down and All Along the Watchtower. I think... you might do it justice by finding your hook within it and creating a cool chorus. For instance... I tossed and turned all night thinking that there needed to be a line at the end of the first part that rhymed with 6. I had not hot to it yet today. But I like what you came up with. I also had not thought of using the other as a chorus. I kept getting side tracked with more " card lines". They all made it sound so hookie.Thanks again. I am still working out the chords/melody. So far it is hoppy and broken up. At least that is the way it sounds in my head. I am also not sure of the title yet. Here it goes- V1- 3 by 3 is 9 Or maybe it's just 6 Turn around Upside down Chorus- ( thanks Lee) Jokers always wild Doing all his tricks Come around Bring me down The in is always fixed Bring me down Baby come around Baby bring me down V2- Queen of Hearts blows kisses King of Spades throws spears Searching for the hole Where Alice left her fears Snake eyes rolling deuces Staring sees right through Nothing to say Take it away Chorus V3- Aces and 8's a dead man Back against the wall Deal has all been crooked Waiting on the fall 9 by 3 is 3 Life ain't got no free In the wind Say it again Chorus Solo V4- 8's and Aces a dead man Queen if Diamonds saved his soul From chasing pretty Alice Down that Jokers hole Chorus That's it.
