Members holden_caufield9
Just ordered it from Guitar Center online. I can't wait to check this thing out. I had a Soldano Hot Rod 50+ that I sold and have regretted it ever since. Hopefully, this will help fill the bill.

Members guitarbilly74
Whats the HDM signify? DM - depth mod. The H just means its a head. The regular one is the JCA100H and the depth mod amp is the JCA100HDM.

I'm a huge Warren Haynes fan but I dont have $5k sitting around for amps so this will be my SLO substitute. If it's anything like the Hot Rod 50+ I'm going to be a very happy camper. Members RiffDaemon
May have to get one of these when (or if) my bonus comes around.
Members co&cafan808
Isnt it a crunch and lead instead of normal and lead? It's the same as the JCA 50/100 except it comes with a metal grill and it has a half power switch and a depth control.
Members thesparkeffect
I think you will be happy with your purchase. As an FYI this is listed two hundred less at a few places, so if you paid full price, you might be able to get a price match. I've had my 50w for about a month and thanks to price drops I just got some monies back the other day.

GC Online had it for $999 but I told the guy at the store that MF had it for $200 less and he did the price match. They told me that MF is always undercutting them and that GC should buy MF so they cant undercut them anymore... I told him that GC did own MF and he was shocked. I left MF about 2 weeks before the buyout. Within 6 months all of the good, well-trained MF peple were gone replaced by the typical GC drones. So glad I got out when I did. Members papas87
...If it's anything like the Hot Rod 50+ I'm going to be a very happy camper. OK, now I'm really stoked for one of these. I'd recently got myself all worked up over a near purchase of a used Hot Rod 50+, only to watch that deal slip away. I just happened across the FastRedPonyCar vids on YouTube and thought the HDM looked to be pretty darn close. I'm curious though, wasn't he using that amp with EL34's and KT88's? Also, by reading through some of the feedback on YouTube, it sounded like he had a prototype or maybe a pre-production model? Or at the very least he was perhaps a pre-production tester? Can anyone confirm this, and would a 100HDM I purchased now be the same thing in the video clips... same sounds, tube swapping, etc? Thanks! I think I'm on-board for one of these, unless a used HR50+ drops in my way really soon! be well, Jason G
Members dunning-kruger
alright in know i called these guys junk {censored}ty amps...but i tried that 100 watt JCA at samash and it was {censored}ing great nicer than a marshall.....but for the money i would go for a 3120. or a JSX. still take back what i said...i still think the 20 watt one is junk tough. Members pioneerprogress
Isnt it a crunch and lead instead of normal and lead? I think crunch is what JC is calling the channel they used to call "normal" It's the same thing.
Members holden_caufield9
So I got the amp and it's badass. VERY similar to my old Soldano Hot Rod 50+. I need to find a decent reverb to put in the loop. Right now I'm using my Pod XT, but I might have to do something different down the road. Not sure, any suggestions? Members t-rey
Can the HDM (on half power) be played at home volumes or would it need an attenuator?
Members holden_caufield9
Can the HDM (on half power) be played at home volumes or would it need an attenuator? It depends on what you're looking for. I played it today w/ my fiancee sitting 10 feet from the amp with a guitar case in front of the speaker and she didnt bitch too much. I only had the volume on 3 though.
Members FastRedPonyCar
Can the HDM (on half power) be played at home volumes or would it need an attenuator? half power has virtually zero effect on the volume output.
Members t-rey
half power has virtually zero effect on the volume output. I figgured as much, but didn't know if knocking it down to 50w made the lower volume tones better due to the power section potentially working harder.
