I never was a big metal fan but every now and then I have to listen to some. I don't mind the music so much as the terrible cookie monster vocals, otherwise I would probably listen to it more often.

Bogner get's you more forum cred but the RKII really is a great amp. With that said I would go with the ecstacy for the better mid gain tones because I dont really need monstrous low-end or gain playing southern rock-blues.
