Members BryanFTWL
What squishyness, and help it in what way? Well Rectos are obviously known to be saggy amps, the el34s wouldn't necessarily make it saggy, but it'd feel more like a Recto than larger tubes me thinks. I always thought the sag came from the tube rectifiers. I don't know. I am an electronics idiot.

Members BillyCorgan
I think i'd rather have the EVH 5150 III 50 watt. I mean you can get a used Single Recto for around $800.

Members jlb32
It could be cool but I have a feeling it won't sound much like a Mesa Rectifier.
Members Matt Gnarly
If the street price is closer to the $700 mark I may have to get one. Dang, this is the last thing I need right now.
Members mamberg
cramming everything in a lunchbox - I bet it won't be tube rectified. +1 on it not sounding like a recto - what will it be - a low-mid voiced el84 amp?could be interesting - can't really think of another amp going for that niche.
