Members madrigal77
The black one looks great, the quilt on the other one is a bit too much though It's Carvin. You can choose whatever color finish/type you want. I think they look killer. Not too into 7's though.

Members Erock503
hmm, those look pretty sharp. I wonder if they will allow swapping in a genuine OFR 7 with these.

Members Zhorellski
How are Carvin Guitars compared to other US made guitars like PRS and GIBSUNG? I've been drooling for that CT6!! that's my next geetar!
Members knucklefux
If they made seven string carved top guitars, I might consider one. Assuming I could get it with passive routes...
Members missingastring
If this was baritone w/ passive routes, I'd sell a bunch of {censored} and order today.
Members grunge782
EMG routes... Yeah I don't know why Carvin is so incredibly retarded when it comes to pickup routes. They must know its a problem by now, but they still {censored} it up . Otherwise, great guitars.

Members Repner
Carvin blocked their site outside North America. Possibly so people can't see that they're charging us double. EDIT: Looked up Carvin World. Looks awesome
Members peavey_impact
The new Carvin Bolt with the Floyd is what caught my eye in the newest catalog. Nice alternative to Charvel

Members madrigal77
I've been GASing hard for a CS6 for a long time now, but I've heard they have a more super strat type tone than a LP. It's awesome that they will scan in any neck and replicate it for you. The JP6 neck on a LP would be all kinds of win. But if I'm going for a LP shape, I want the LP tone. Members hcprimerib
badass. the Carvin 7 strings are still my favorite over schecter, jackson, Ibanez, etc..
Members JerEvil
I dig those. Really like the headstock. If I ever attempt 7 strings again it will be a Carvin.
Members eudaimonia02912
Looks great. If I didn't have an upgraded Ibby RG7421, I'd likely have gone for one of those as my next guitar.
Members kmanick
hmm, those look pretty sharp. I wonder if they will allow swapping in a genuine OFR 7 with these. nope, the route is different and the string spacing on the OFR is wider. this is what keeps me from ordering another one. I've been drooling for that CT6!! that's my next geetar! I lilked my first CT6 so much that I bought a second, and then a 727. They're all amazing guitars. Really bright, though, even with mahogany bodies.

All of the other Carvins I've played have been bright, too.

Members Sixtonoize
Yup...I think that that's where most of the brightness comes from...but you can't discount the affect of ebony boards and SS frets, either.
Members ENdtime
I guess what I was going to say has been said. My carvin was bright. I had the standard alder wings maple neck thru. and the pickups are bright too. But it did play awesome. Really smooth player. I would think an all mahogany build with a rosewood board would help, but I guess not. And despite the extremely thick finish, it looked great. But these, while nice, don't really look too different besides the active pickup rout.
