Members charveldan
That's the thing about IC chips, someone can always make one identical and on the cheap.
Members madrigal77
Still struggling to see how this is death to Snax. It's already been established that the Snax is waaaaaay better than the POD, so unless this is a completely new unit, I don't see how putting it in a rack changes things. Members knucklefux
If it's $500 like the pod hd, I'm sure it's more than 25% as good as a snax.

Weren't the old rack PODs always considerably more than their non-rack counterparts?
Members boyband03
well, it would be the death of the snax for me if it was in the ball park of the axe-fx, in stock, and not +$2k...
Members Wookieslayer
meh looks real sweet and all but I cannot see the price increase for a gigging musician being justified when you have to buy a floor unit to control it live... the British online stores are saying something like 630 pounds so maybe 800-900 $USD? Now if they added the ability to load quality user IR's... then we'd have a real winner for the price point IMHO!

Very different beasts, with this you get what you pay for, its like using Reaper and Pro tools, they do the same thing on paper but are not the same. Not saying one is better than the other, but you pay for what you need.
Members Johnny Two Tone
Well, this is new. Instead of people saying that digital snax could never be as good as tube, people are arguing that they could get snax for cheap... being a good thing. Members eudaimonia02912
OP, why do you still have me sig'ed? And why not be fair and include the entire quotation, which was: It doesn't matter that you disagree. You're wrong. People with Ph.D.s in biology from accredited universities accept "macroevolution". There is no significant controversy over whether it took place.

Members eudaimonia02912
Will it sound better than the POD HD floor units?
Members NeloAngelo
like all the pod pros before it, it probably just has a few better components. jacks, a/d d/a converters, and more connectivity options.
Members OverDriven
It looks great. It's nice to see Line 6 finally making things that don't look like toys. The sound is going to be just like the floor units though. I'm actually a bit tempted by this, but after playing around with the free modeling plugins and cab sims I don't see how I can justify spending the money on a standalone unit. I would rather spend my money on a new computer.
