Like I said, corny enough to make you puke. And I don't {censored}in' care!

:thu:

I feel the same. The wife and 8 kids made out like bandits. It was a definite high-water mark for how much we've spent on Christmas this year. Let's just say I increased my computer cores by 32. And now I'm family tech support. It was hard to keep my act together with only 3 hours of sleep and being expected to install software and troubleshoot stuff all morning/afternoon. At 3:30 I finally declared it was Daddy nap time and ran for the bedroom. Woke up at 8:30 feeling somewhat human again.

So all I got was a bunch of happy people in my house. But I'll be buying myself a Tele now that I passed my PI exam. :thu:

i got new Harley Davidson boots, a t-shirt that has The Dude on it that says 'The Dude Abides', an unknown gift from my Mother-In-Law (wife says she's not gonna open it; gonna let me open it when i get back to the U.S.) aaaand, a new iPhone 16GB 3GS ( i have an iphone 4, but i jailbroke it and can't figure out how to un-jailbreak it, so now it's just 'broke'
)

that's about it that i know of. oh one more thing; i get to come home on the first bird leaving Afghanistan in 10 days instead of leaving at the end of January (i guess that's sort of a present)
:thu:

Thank you for serving, hope your family time is filled with joy, and much happiness. Thank you.

Speaking of steampunk, I got a steampunk T-shirt (my steel innards are showing), wifey got me two Iron Maiden CDs, the Zao Awake? dvd (only 3000 pressed!), a couple more giftcards and money and a guitar stand.

I don't know why I got so much stuff, but I'm thankful to have such a great family (both sides).

Wifey enjoyed her presents which made me happy. :D

I got my dad this

It's RAD. I loaded up a 2TB usb drive full of movies and hooked it up for him. He loves the thing. Really easy to use and plays pretty much every media format under the sun and can stream wirelessly hulu, yoututbe, pandora. WELL worth the price.

I bought a Sony for 50 bucks less. I already had a PS3 that does the same thing, but I put this in my bedroom so I can stream Netflix at night laying in bed. These little things are pretty awesome.

Yeah, that's the truth. Sounds corny as hell and treacly enough to make your flesh crawl, but DAMN! I don't care!

My 16 year old is like all teens, mouthy and know-it-all, PITA
, but he's been a rock and really misses me at home. I'm so {censored}in' proud of him (just CURB-STOMPED his SATs, too!) Will do ANYTHING to help...and then bitches, so he's normal!
:thu:

My 6 year old couldn't stop hugging me...I was reading him his Power Rangers "manual" last night having a blast (not that I really give a {censored} about PRs...but he does).

My bro post-poned his trip back to NC (from NJ) just to make sure I could safely get home today, even tho it was just for a visit.

And my wife? Wow! How can one dumb schmuck be so lucky. Most beautiful and sexy woman in the world. Brilliant. PhD. Honest. And couldn't stop hugging and kissing me (no, get your minds out of the gutter--can't do anything x-rated for a while--risk of dislocating the new implant is just too great) But just her arms around me is far better than I deserve.

Like I said, corny enough to make you puke. And I don't {censored}in' care!

Meh

I wouldn't say they're all mouthy, know-it-alls, and pain in the asses. There's a reason for it though, and they usually out grow it, no?

I know you probably think I'm biased because I'm 20, but 'tis true.

Well, I'm the man of the house, so I usually get my own stuff. This year:

RGD2127z Prestige 7 string

Charvel SanDimas in white

AxeFX Ultra (still incoming. :()

7 guitar rack for stage.

New lighting rig.

...And I won't know what Lady Loop got me till she gets back from FL Friday. I have a feeling it'll be something for the kitchen. I've hinted at wanting a new grill rack, and a Henckel Twin boning knife.

That's why I indicated that I was guessing judging on those two items. I wasn't sure how far off it would be, but that is what came to mind and I felt like posting it. SO are you more train conductor than steampunk? Either way, those are some bitchin' boots and a really cool timepiece!

What part of MD are you in? I used to live in Salisbury (on the Eastern Shore) and have family still there and an older brother in Gaithersburg.

Ha I guess more train engineer. But neither really. Just jeans and a plaid button up for me. I'm in PG, lived here my entire life.

Mainly it was just a Toshiba Satellite laptop. I'm also gonna buy myself a Strymon El Capistan since I sold my delay to fund Deep Purple tickets for my father and I in the new year. Otherwise it was mainly just clothing, some other odds and sods and some quality time with my grandparents who are up visiting.

my main gift this year was an xbox 360...totally caught me off guard. I dind't even ask for one. I knew my younger sister alexa was getting an iphone 4s and the 10 year old devil got an iphone 4 so I suppose a lot of people figured they'd spend roughly the same one me...but these are the same parents who got the sisters an atv and dirt bike, when I got a 160gb external hd so I only asked for a couple of hoodies, which I got as well.

CSB time: The year that Borderlands came out I really wanted a copy for PC so my parents went searching for it. Well my handwriting was so bad that they thought the title was "Bored Blondes" so here's my mom and stepdad going around to all the gaming stores asking for what sounds like a porn title getting the craziest looks from people, it wasn't until they showed the list to someone that the customer service person was like "oh, um....that says Borderlands" lol. We all get a kick out of it retelling the story...so this year they finally got it for me, but on the 360 which I thought was a little odd because they should be well aware that I do not have a 360 or ps3, just my computer. After "reminding" my stepdad after opening the game that's when my mom handing me the last present which was the 360. Overall a great xmas.
