Members shane159
The Suhr Riot, and the Box of Rock is the most amp like distortion/drives , I have ever played until I got the Bogner Red. I know you said no $300 dollar pedals, but it is {censored}ing amazing. I can't say enough about how good it sounds. I actually prefer it over most of my amps drive. The boost function is also superb and very tweakable. I have played it through my DSL, FJA 5150, JVM, Laney AOR 50 and my Nitro and the only one that it does not beat out is the Nitro. You need to at least go try one, I am willing to bet you would leave the store with it. I played it with the band last night and was blown away,in fact my other guitar player did not believe it was the pedals drive instead of my JVM. I bet it would sound great through your GH, b/c it sounds very nice into the low input on my AOR 50.

Members Mesa/Kramer
A Lot of the responses don't meet the original post criteria of being Amp like and having boost function built in.Can't see if it was already posted as a video but my vote is For the Carl Martin plexitone. It has 3 modes which are all foot switchable
Members Dolf
The more clips I hear of the Plexitone, the more I want one. Seems like the standalone (single switch) version sounds better? Maybe it's just Thorne's clips getting better and better.
