Members kimona
I guess this question has been played out on the forum already, but I'm trying to decide between these two guitars: a used Washburn D10S for $160 (with HS case) or a new Yamaha FG700S for $199? Both guitars are very nice, but I'm leaning toward the Yamaha, perhaps just because I'm familair with Yamaha guitars and have a real bias. What I need is objective advice. Members Samilyn
Unless you're very familiar with what to look for in a used guitar in terms of possible structural issues, best to steer clear of the used Washburn and go with the new Yamaha. Members totamus
They are probably both pretty decent. The Washburn gets good reviews. Both have solid spruce tops, the Washburn retails a little higher than the Yammie. I have played some really nice Washburns, and I have played some that I did not care for. Same for Yamaha. I dont think you would be unhappy with either.
