Members slodge
An acoustic rendition of Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" on American Idol this week got me thinking about how much I enjoy this sort of thing. I've enjoyed acoustic versions of songs you wouldn't think of acoustically, from "Little Red Corvette" (Mike Zito?) to the disco song "Everlasting Love" (Jamie McCollough?) to the Cure's "Lovesong" and "Just Like Heaven" (???) A lot of my personal 'set list' is made up of numbers like these ("Dancing Queen," "Hungry Like the Wolf," & "Afternoon Delight" to name a few.) So how about it? What are some of your favorite offbeat acoustic covers? What are some of your successful acoustic adaptations?

Members missedmyexit
I think the Idol guy might have seen this video posted in 2006. Doesn't take away the fact that the guy sang the {censored} out of it.
Members Gary Blanchard
I used to do a medley of All Along the Watchtower and When Doves Cry. I also did acoustic versions of Little Red Corvette, I Keep Forgetting, and Careless Whisper with harmonica instead of sax.
