Members thepoisonchef
I own a 'california series' telecaster and was wondering if anyone could recommend some strings for it that would sound good going through a HRD 212??? Im currently using fender bullets but im thinking the way these strings are designed are cool but I think ive heard better sounding strings before... I would do a comparison of brands but maybe some other tele owners out there have already done this???
Members bcjames
Ernie Ball 11s and 12s on all my guitars. Cheap, last, sound good. They do the job for me.

Members thepoisonchef
ok out of D'addario's, ernie balls, DR's, which one sounds the best? has the best tone?
Members Futch
I have a preferance for the d'addarios over ernie balls. IMO they hold tune better, break less often and dont go dead as quickly. Cant say ive tried DRs
Members DdBob
Dr definatly d'addario sounds great too but doesn't last as long
Members thepoisonchef
what do you think about fender brand compared to these popular string brands?
Members Raths
I'm using Fender 10's on my MIM Tele now and I like them. I have Ernie Ball 9's on my son's strat-a-like and I think that the EBs sound a bit better than the Fenders. But I'm still in the experimentation stage as far as strings. I think I'm going to go with Fender Bullet end 10's on my next string change, just to see if they work with the Tele. L8R Raths
Members Ramblin
I've been playing "Sfarzio SFT Screamers" 0.10-0.46 for a year now... I buy them on ebay, they're pretty cheap. Very good strings.
Members xMadiMx
labella.comThere's a reason Holdsworth, Iommi and more use and swear by these strings.Last 2x as long as anything else out there and sound 10x better at the same time. Plus they even give you an extra high e and b.

Members keithcar
i use GHS boomers .010'' strings. I am quite satisfied with them. They nickel roundwound and stay pretty bright. I use them on a tele deluxe. id like all the brightness i can get. i didnt like ernie balls they would mellow out quickly and they didnt have the dynamics i wanted. Members Tele The Truth
OK, I'll throw out another brand!I like Dean Markley Blue Steels on my teles. They're a bright and lively string that sounds great if you do any chickin' pickin' or popping.
