That would be both solos (acoustic & electric) from the Al Stewart song 'Year of the Cat' . Pretty easy to play, but to this day it's one of my favorite solos - great melodic feel, great taste and touch...

These were a couple of the first for me. too. Around the same time, I learned the solo to "China Grove".
I think the absolute first solo I learned was the solo in "Just A Song Before I Go", by Crosby, Stills & Nash.

I never rememebered this until now but the first solo I learned was Nothing else matters by metallica. the solo is plain simple pentatonic {censored} and slow, but sounds great. it taught me how feel, phrasing and vibrato makes can make simple solos sound so great.

Mine was Queens of the Stone Age - Another Love Song. I found it so hard to differentiate the notes (I was going by ear, not tab) so I cut the mp3 up and slowed it down. I think it's a good first solo to learn because it sounds real jumpy and active but it's not actually that hard to play.
