Members fuzzy4dice
I love Pink Floyd with him, and hate them without him! Honestly, he's really lucky he had 60 years on this planet. What a sad story. God Bless Syd! I'm going to have to play some creepy noises on my Farfisa tonight.

Members Gravity
yeah, I'm listening to Piper right now. Gonna have to jam my Tele a bit harder today too. R.I.P. Buddy. Thanks for the tunes!
Members OldFenderGuy
Syd was a big influence of mine when I first started playing guitar, and I did, and continue to play a lot of his material. I'm sad to hear of his passing, as he was a very unique and talented person, and not just the 'madman' that most read about. I guess, as he sang in his song "Bob Dylan Blues", he is now Free As A Bird On The Wing.....

They couldnt have written those songs about him if he'd been around Anyway, postSyd they went from shapeless psychodelic mendering jams to writing actual songs with actual melodies. Dude, not only did he make some wonderfully nice and weird music, but his aura influenced the Pink Floyd crew to make some major tunes afterwards. You can't just bluntly state "... I'm surprised anyone cares". That is wrong. Appologize now, or forever hold your piece.

Yeah, nothing Pink Floyd did, post-Syd, was psychedelic or meandering. See: the 1970's I thought the Syd Floyd was much more musical and pop-song oriented than post-Floyd. In fact, I know it. Check out: The Gnome, See Emily Play, and Arnold Layne for some serious pop-tunes. In a good way.
