9 guitar tracks

Working on a project. I've done all the rhythm (2 acoustics 1 electric) parts. Couldn't get a solo that the writer liked at the studio. I brought the tracks home to my studio where I wasn't under the scrutiny of the many people at the session. Do you think this is too much guitar for this style of song?......

Only the solo

3 guitars comped slightly left......5 part harmonized theme slightly right

People who like big bombastic guitar ballads should dig it. It's not an inappropriate amount of guitar. Personally, I would try to get more texture in there. Did you use the same guitar and amp for each overdub?

My friend records with a Blues deluxe and many guitars PRS/STRATS/Les-pauls ect and his best sound usually comes from 1 microphone and 1 take and thats usually pushed in the mixer to get it grainy and edgy. Theres alot to be said about space with solo's imo rather than how much work can i put in here.
