Members curseoftruth
Not stupid, I've thought about that as well -- not my name but something else. I'm not changing the one on my Gibson's but I'd liek to get custom ones for my Epis. For instance, my LP Custom says Gibson on the truss cover. I'd like one that says Custom. Members Wyatt
Not stupid, I've thought about that as well -- not my name but something else. I'm not changing the one on my Gibson's but I'd liek to get custom ones for my Epis. For instance, my LP Custom says Gibson on the truss cover. I'd like one that says Custom. That's easy. Any guitar shop that sells Gibson parts, or even some aftermarket ones, can get that, it's a stock piece. A quick google should pop up 5 or more sources. As to the OP. You can buy a metal replacement and have it engraved at a trophy store or one of those shopping mall engraving shops. You *cannot* go to most places and get a plastic one engraved. The machines snap the plastic in two. For that, use one of the auctions listed by Rando.

Members Professor Tom
The material is called "Traffolite" in England and probably the same in the U.S. Any company that makes labels can make one for you.

I bought a blank for my Gibby V and had it engraved at one of those mall places. They did a good job.
