Members curseoftruth
As many of you know, I've been looking at Ibanez guitars to get a faster neck for the prog project I'm doing. I've also had some major Flying V Gas of late. I prefer my guitars to be mahogany. I've always wanted a neck through as well. I didn't want to spend a bunch. So I ran across this and love the specs, even with a Wizard II neck, after continuing to test them, I can appreciate them. Won't be my number 1 either. Anybody own or have played one of these? I meets a whole bunch of my GAS and spec needs in one fail swoop. Ibanez VBT700 V-Blade Funny thing, this is design and spec job by one of the dudes in Dragonforce! LOL. Retails for $599. Could probably get it for much less from my buddy at GC. Appears to have full binding as well, but hard to tell fromt he pix. Members sylvesterlowery
I want the black one, those are sweet, and AFAIK, they are a limited edition. Go for it!
Members Schraiber
I tried one out... it was pretty sweet, but I'm just not used to V-style guitars played sitting down, so it raped me. It sounded great though... and the neck was good.

Members Dewysoss
I love the look of the V-Blade, I just hate where the jack is on that (on the part at the bottom of the lower arm, if I'm correct.)

It's just hard to support Vs properly without a strap, because the guitar wants to go forward just because of the shape of my body.... so i would have to apply pressure on the neck back towards myself to keep it out. So nyah!

Members curseoftruth
I think the decision is made, I'm going to get one pretty soon. I need to sell a few things that are just sitting and gathering dust. Black or White, that is the question!
Members sylvesterlowery
Cool! Definitely post pics when you get it! BTW, Have you heard the new High on fire track on their Myspace? It slays! The Pike tone is still crushing.

It slays! The Pike tone is still crushing. It'll be a bit before I get it. I'm going to sell my Marshall DSL halfstack, my Squier Baritone, my Schecter Celloblaster, and a couple of other cheapo guitars I have first. Not to raise the money, I could buy it now, but to make room and make the wife happy. She made the comment last night that my office is looking like a music store -- it is. I have no room for more stuff! The only cheapo guitar I want to keep is my Squier 51, I've bonded with it on my trip last week. Gonna keep my Epi LP, SG Classic, and SG Special as well -- I might sell the special to help fund a new Les Paul next year though. I did hear the new HOF and posted about it here this morning -- only got 11 views and no responses to the post, its like 5 pages back now! It's like Viking metal, I totally dig it. I'm going to see them at a small theater here in Sept., can't wait! The place is small so hopefully I'll get to meet Matt, he is one of my guitar heroes. I've been listening to Sleep's Jerusalem a lot lately, I find it to be the most irritating but at the same time genius record ever made. Some days I listen and totally get it, others I'm like what the hell am I listening to this stuff for! I like Sleep's Holy Mountain much better though. I'm the same way with Electric Wizard, which musically they play in a style like Jerusalem a lot but with better vocals. One day I can listen to Dopethrone or COmeMY Fanatics front to back and really dig it, other days I think it sucks. Strange.
