I played a mid-70s Deluxe a few months ago that might have come home with me if I could have gotten it down a few hundred bucks. Shop had it marked at $1500, and it was a '75 (I think) in wine red, and had plenty of battle scars, but no breaks.

 

I probably would have done it for $1100-$1200, but couldn't justify it at $1500.

Actually, when i said maple, i meant will she have a maple neck? I've played and owned a few maple necked custom's in the past (never a deluxe though) and i loved what the maple did for the tone.

With that kind of sniping caliber (I haven't forgotten about the Classic either), you gotta keep at it! You do very well in that department ;)
