Hmm...I use some kind of operating system and computer here. Let me see what kind it is...

Okay, it has folders where you can stuff files, a desktop, some slots for cards, USB and Firewire ports, internal audio, ethernet, the ability to search for files, a built-in web browser, a built-in media player that lets you categorize/sort music and videos, a little accessory program for writing text, another for viewing pictures, and a way to revert back to a previous version of the system.

So I guess it's OBVIOUS which computer I'm talking about!!

thats where an OS should end in your list... of course if you told me how MANY slots you have available, i could tell you what you are running ;)

I did say "operating system and computer"...

i meant an OS shouldnt have " the ability to search for files, a built-in web browser, a built-in media player that lets you categorize/sort music and videos, a little accessory program for writing text, another for viewing pictures, and a way to revert back to a previous version of the system."

well maybe the last one, but i never trust that method unless its a one time thing with a bad driver install.

OK, I'll just take the video and run it on my BeOS machine. No one ever writes a virus for that OS. (See BeOS jokes in the archive at Userfriendly.org.) Got a laptop and a desktop that are running BeOS. Not quite as stable as OS-X but much faster!!!!!!!!!! And the first OS to allow throwing an active, running program into another active, running program on the fly. (1995) OS-X was the second OS to allow that. (2002?) That's nearly 2 generations ahead of everyone else.
