When I see a black strat with a white pickguard, it makes me want to smash it.

Seriously.

It's like a beige Toyota Camry.

The world just needs less of them.

Speaking as someone who owns both a black strat with a white pickguard and a beige Toyota Camry, I take offense.

Actually, no I don't.

I have a black on black strat with black pups and black tuners and a rosewood neck.

It's black.

I like it.

If a strat has a white pg, imo, it should have black trim, i.e. tuxedo.

The only think my black guitar doesn't have is black hardware. otherwise, im right with you.

my strat got a black pick guard bc guitarcenter gave it to me.

I'm partial to the Gilmour look - black body, b/w/b guard, white knobs/pickups, maple neck. My strat is black with the b/w/b guard but has a rosewood neck.

Do you have pictures? I'd like to see.

I love my sunburst but sometimes I wish it were black so I could swap out the pickguard to a black one and stuck white pg covers and so forth on there.

Sorry, man. I didn't realize I was taking out two birds w/ one stone.

In truth, I'm kinda having a  moment here.

My strat was actually black on black with black covers/knobs.

When I replaced the stock PUPS with TexMex's, I also went with white knobs, and now I've got the Gilmour look.

But the beige Toyota is still a beige Toyota.
