The rest of the owners just threw calendars at me...

Of the two smart owners, one of them was a spitfire in british racing green, that it's first show, a midwest concours event, trophied over jags, porsch, vets & ferraris as best in class & 2nd best in show.

    Ya, I miss our chats.

    Everybodys busy.

What's the secret to linking to youtube in the threads?

thank you, meandi! i promise to keep being "that guy". if you're implying this guitar is going to be "best in show" when you're done, then i'm all for that!

Thought I'd share this with everyone.

Todd Muir has always been one of the guitarists whos work I appreciate the most.

Check him out at about 40 on through the outro solo.

He's totaly lost in the zone & the big grin on his face as he breaks out of the solo & on to the end of the song.

Really seems to be a guy who loves what he does for a living...

Ya, "sister sweetly", which has an entirely different "feel", is also on that cd, & to me is an indication of his versatility as an arranger as well.

He's got an almost "lazy" approach to his playing...lots of open string chords which works very well for me.

        meandi's tune-o-the day today is...

Allison Moorer & Shelby Lynn, "goin down".

Allison is married to Steve "copperhead road" Earl.

also, it appears there is nothing wrong with the way you posted this video. It is unavailable from youtube. The problem is on youtube's end. You posted the link correctly.

Only time will tell if I finish guitars as well as I did cars.

Of course, you know, that the next one will go much more quickly than this one has...booth construction, outta the way forever...learning new skills for it, etc.

                      Life is good LPL!

Inlay training is done, I think.

I've got a couple of local jobs that I'm doing now...a gibby 12 string that got the top crushed & a neck re-set on a martin.

That's the way I did it...

Very impressed - Making new things is one thing, but repairing damaged instruments is quite another challenge!!!!

How's that crushed top? Really bad? (acoustic gibby?)

How do you go about resetting a neck? That's got to be quite something to remove it neatly first!

didnt hang out with him, but talked to him for a few before and after the show. Didnt really hang out though.

yeas, it is funny, but when my band plays around here locally, we play smaller venues with a downsided version of our band locally, doing original and covers, that song is still one of the most requested songs, and has become a country line dancing cult classic all across America. In any country bar, or honkeytonk, whether a live band or DJ, that song still packs the dance floor as soon as people hear it.

It has to be one of the coolest two chord songs in existance.

and, yes, youtube disables videos all the time, mostly for copyright reasons, but sometimes when someone posts a video, and then removes it, the link still remains active even though there is no video there anymore.

You are doing it right though.

I'll put a pic up of it if you'd like.
