Members mbengs1
What other harmonizer pedals are there aside from the ones I've heard of, the boss ps-6 harmonist and digitech harmonyman?
Members WWW
Depending on what you want to use it for, there's a lot of octave/pitch shifters that create harmonies. Some of the ones I've been using are Hog2, whammy V and mooer pitch box.
Members RadioSilence
Eventide Pitchfactor?
Phil O'Keefe
The Pitchfactor and Whammy V were the first two to pop into my head, but there's also the EHX stuff, as WWW pointed out. There's also the Boss PS-5, but I've played both the 5 and the 6, and I think the 6 is considerably better overall.
Members WWW
Good call on the Pitchfactor fellas. I had one a while back and I miss it sometimes. It was great for harmonies, and a LOT of other stuff. Like all of the Eventide pedals though, for me it was too over the top. Found myself twisting knobs a lot instead of playing guitar. Members mbengs1
Pitchfactor takes up a lot of space. i prefer a smaller unit.
Members riff ie
Harmonizer pedals digital artifacts have always reminded me of the way I imagine my sack must smell after the encores... I'm of the opinion everybody should listen too more Allman Brothers Band "especially the first three studio recordings and of course AFE, then reconsider their purchase of harmonizer pedlol altogether... Members WWW
I'm with you riffie, but I have to say that the newer harmony pedals (at least the hog2 and Whammy V) don't contain any artifacts.
Members riff ie
Cool, I'll keep that in mind when displaying my thoughts on digital pitch correction & shifting...

Members AJ6stringsting
I created a patch with my old Digitech RP-12 and old 2112 SGS to simulated the harmonized parts of "Take IT Back", on Pink Floyd's Division Bell. I can imaging what one could do with the new gear of today !!!!
