With Matching headstock and the piezo bridge... likes / dislikes is the peizo worth it? Describe the neck profile? I played on a long time ago and loved it..I have an axis I really dig as well... Members sapphireskiss
great guitar solidly built, good tones from the piezo, cool color options and their customer service is awesome. I guess the only con for me was the wait(4 months), but it was well worth it when it showed up at my door:thu: Here's mine: you can also go here if you haven't checked out the forum http://www.ernieball.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=

Members xMadiMx
PRO: Neck feel and look (birdseye Maple) Custom Pickups, Piezo, Wilkinson style trem, no locking nut, sperzel locking tuners, great layout on the knobs Con: Wait and a little pricey being it's a bolt on basswood guitar. Doesn't bother me though got the 6 (Carbon Blue) and the 7 (Desert Gold) and they're great guitars that hold tune like no other.

Members xMadiMx
Why 22 frets??? or is it to be a baritone like he plays as that one is 21 or 22 frets isn't it
Members cloudnine
Basswood is a great body wood. There's a reason people like Van Halen and Petrucci pick it.

Members digital_whisper
I'm running a Pearl Redburst seven string with piezo. It's a killer guitar. The new JP sig got canned. JP wanted a neckthrough 22 fretter with a shorter scale but could never get comfortable with the prototypes.

I just think it sounds weak, and it's used on a ton of cheap guitars, I'm so used to mahogany.

Members shreder75
I had one for a little while.. top quality...GREAT finish...can't beat the quality control or teh finishes but I had to get rid of it..lol the neck didn't do it for me and I hated the stock pickups and the fact that it was direct mount.. Weird, I really liked the stock pups and pretty much hit his tone with a Vox modeller. Loved the neck but the guitar was too light for me, I need something with more weight. Members cloudnine
It's the same stuff, it's just cheap. Basswood is also a cheap wood, but it doesnt mean that it's not good. I like basswood or alder, mostly because I like a midrangey sound.

Mahogany has more midrange than basswood, and the same as alder.
