To some, their reputation is everything as well it should be.... hehe..that coffee lawsuite came to my mind as well

  10. Originally posted by shredhead666 What's the scale length on those Petrucci guitars? Is it short like a LP? If it is, I might go buy one. 25.5
  11. Originally posted by shredhead666 Absolutely! I'm almost strictly a Les Paul guy, and I love the way Alder sounds. my lynch is alder....love the tone of that guitar... I like the sound of my swamp ash mirage now that I have a JB in there...sounds nice...me likey =D
  12. Originally posted by Megadeth7684 I notice a huge difference when playing an alder or basswood guitar compared to mahogany, I just don't like it. It just doesn't stack up to mahogany for the tones I go for. oh yeah????? well, my amp goes to 11..so there!!!
  13. Originally posted by Megadeth7684 Yes, because you don't play metal. That's why I don't like alder and basswood, they sound thin compared to mahogany. bite your tongue! I play metal
  14. alder {censored}in' rules!!! =D
  15. Originally posted by Digital Jams Weird, I really liked the stock pups and pretty much hit his tone with a Vox modeller. Loved the neck but the guitar was too light for me, I need something with more weight. I think the pups are good..if you want his tone...I don't want his tone =) neck wasn't quite beefy enough for me..
  16. I had one for a little while.. top quality...GREAT finish...can't beat the quality control or teh finishes but I had to get rid of it..lol the neck didn't do it for me and I hated the stock pickups and the fact that it was direct mount..
  17. Originally posted by TexasDeathRide I went to the North Dallas guitar center on 75 and was able to plug in and jam on a herbert through a diezel speaker loaded 4x12. I have to say i was impressed, but not $4100 impressed. Everyone who talks about them around here is basically right. The amp sounds like a very produced high gain mesa with rectifierish sag but it still plays tighter than my triple rec. The gain on channel 3 was over the top and the mid cut put chanel three into nu metal territory instantly. I still couldn't hear anything that said, this warrants twice the price of a recto. Maybe I didn't hear it in the right space or at the right distance from the cab but I went home, cranked the recto and my gas for the herbert died. I had the same impression..it did sound good and was very easy to play, but not at that price point..
  18. Originally posted by soc_monki i like EBMM's very much...i love my Sub 1, and its the "cheap" EB but its a damn fine guitar for 450 bucks! the pickups werent my taste...i changed the bridge to a Duncan Distortion...but i dont think i could dig the Pet's...i dont like pickups that are attached to the body...but the Pet's are sweet lookin' guitars. hey, dick! when you gonna email me back! lol
  19. I may be in the minority here but I didn't like the stock pups at all

  21. lebrie is horrible.... it's not that I dont' like the sound of his voice...it's ok....I do hate when he does that whisper quiet lamer {censored} for one thing.. but when he's really tryin' to belt out the note, he doesn't even TRY to enunciate the words....just comes out as blah blah blah blahhhhh blahhhh.. the end of Change of Seasons is a perfect example...what the hell is he saying? BLAHBLAHLALAHBALALAALAAAAA!!
