Harmony Central has “soft launched” our new mobile experience this past week.   • mesa single rectifier vs mark IV,wich one is more brutal?

    I m looking to change my single rectifier head for a mark IV combo connected on my fat bottom 2x12 VHT cabinet,wich one have a better distorsion?
    i play mostly,megadeth,metallica and BLS stuff...
    badly need help cause I m so confused,thanks!

          I like my MKIII better for old megadeth and metallica, but for more modern stuff I like the single rec.

                      i ve already try the mark IV at low volume (play mostly in my bedroom)
                      the distortion seem more tight compare to the recto...

                        Get the Mark IV. I got rid of my Single Recto and couldn't be happier. Some days it sounded awesome, other day sit sounded so-so. The Mark IV ALWAYS sounds awesome.

                            I suppose that depends on your definition of brutal. Crushing or tight? I'm not saying either is more brutal, but I prefer the tone of the Marks. I love Rectos, especially early ones, but I prefer Mark tones.
