Anyway, here is some DSL 50. Just 10 watts more made in the UK though:

Those go for really low used.

All the new DSL videos sound congested vs the older ones a bit...

    Now that sounds great!

I live the way people judge an amp on a you tube demo, I will wait untill I try one myself.

I would go for the head though, but I am cheap so I would go for an old second hand one I already know the old

      DSL's sound great.

The DSL the is the only amp I regret selling.

I'm just going to have to disagree there, I found them to sound and react quite differently.

Hey, that's me in the video! I miss the DSL, but now that I'm recording an hard rock record and possibly back to play live I'm looking around for a DSL half stack...

Yeah you are essentially right. Youtube compression plays tricks often! But if there is even just one demo that rocks, that is sometimes enough to get me going, gasing etc. Better than nothing, because sometimes, you can even try the amp yourself and not get a good taste of what it can really do in a short amount of time, or given the volume/room etc!
"is this tone obtainable using the HD500 or Axe Fx? Overall, for convenience and volume control, should I buy the Axe Fx over actual tube amps? I don't plan on playing loud; just playing at home and recording on my Mac. Thanks man, you are awesome!

            short answer: no...

            long answer: no way..."

You did them? Man what a tone...I loved your other videos as well, this one I have in my favourites listen to find it easily! I've got to be honest I never got a DSL/TSL sounding as good as this. Was it stock? And that les paul is drool worthy congratulations on the build.

Is that you really you bro? Now that video sounds better than the 'newer' DSL imo

That clip sounds really nice, just a nice marshall growl, dare i say mean!

I see guys spending 3X more on amps and trying to get a simular type tone, and you did that with a Bad Monkey and a DSL. BTW the Bad Monkey is a cool lil pedal, it adds just enough boost and saturation to your amp, great lil pedal together with the DSL its a winner!

You cannot go wrong with a bad monkey and a marshall.

I owned a DSL briefly, but I had no problem getting it to sound identical to an 800.

I can never understand the hate that they get. I think its kinda fashionable to hate them in a snob kinda way. I have heard some awesome sounds from them. And I am not an owner btw.
