Members MatchFive
What I meant mainly is that they now have a 2 channel amp that compares with Blackstar in price if not in tone..It sounds better than the MA amps, but it's not a Blackstar either.. It's a move in the right direction anyway..Beats a MG though.. LOL..
Members cap'n'crunch
I wish they had the 40 watt in head version. I'm not really an opened back combo kind of guy.

Members FalseRevRG
I played around with the new DSL15C the other day at work for a little bit...the basic tone of it isn't bad, but the "Ultra Gain" channel has WAY too much gain (with the gain at like 2, I couldn't roll off the guitar's volume and get an actual clean), and the "Classic Gain" channel didn't have enough...it was barely overdriven. Useless amp, IMO...but then, I'm used to Fryette dynamics
Members Dudester
This one of the DSL40C sounds better...Pretty fat tone starting at ~2:45 Another:
Members satannica
I'm interested. But they do have a lot of work to do if they're going to knock the HT40/60 off their pearches!

Members gt_jumper
sounds nothing like blackstars?
Members Dudester
I had a DSL401 and hated it. My test drive of this new DSL40C suggests they did a MUCH better job this time around... though I'd still replace the speaker with the new Celestion Creamback. Members snshami
lealand987 wrote:/have played the whole new dsl lineThe lower wattage units are very fizzy and boxy soundingThe 100 watter is close to the original but lacks the same punch and again is a little fizzy to my ears All in all, way better than the MA amps they're replacing I have not heard the DSL 15C although I have heard they are a bit fizzy but I can assure you there is nothing fizzy about the DSL 40C. This amp growls and roars with the best of them. The sound is full and f***ing awesome. I chose it over the Blackstar HT-40 and am not regretting it at all. My short review and comparison with the HT40
