Speaker Stuffing

Room was tight in my van for tonights gig but I did manage to get 8 speakers in the 4X4 foot area in back of my van. Only had to turn 1 sxa250 upside down to make it happen.

2 peavey 15pm's , 4 EV SXA250's and 2 Yorkville EF500p's. Subs will be at the gig.

Can you tell me about how you mounted those speakers? That looks like a good way to increase coverage.

They are T bars made out of solid crank shaft metal. (VERY TUFF STUFF) They were tested both on and off the tripods with more than 3 times the ever expected weight. The tripods were leaned more than 22 degrees off center and let go and came back with no problems. It takes more than I can do to even get them to start to move off center.

They are bent to match the splay off the speakers if the sides were touching. Very good coverage. I'd put 200lbs a side on the T bars if I had larger , more weight load , tripods.

You can see in the back the locking colars and how I use the fly points on the EF500p speakers with M10 eye bolts to slide the speakers on the shaft. It is very easy to put them on as they just slide on the bar then put the colars on so they can't slide off.
