Members swardle
So what have you accomplished in the last year? I have managed to get rid of my outdated keyboard hardware and go laptop. I have also learned to accept and embrace Canada (major flaws and all). What about you?

I'm in the process of moving to the Oregon Coast. But the Seattle area is also a possibility. I'm currently living in Buhl, Idaho - Population 2. Members WhinyLittleRunt
I put out another CD, got good reviews, I re-vamped my studio and got it down to just the essentials that I need / want, I got to play a Little Phatty in Arizona (yay), I learned how to play a bunch of really gay 80's ballads and I got a raise at work. Members HomeInMyShoes
^Was the reason you got a raise the really gay 80's ballads? 'Cause I might be willing to learn some if it pays off. Pretty much nothing, but I will be moving again. I guess that's an accomplishment. Getting the hell out of somewhere.

I find it incredibly humorous when the americans mock canadians, for which i understand was why swardle was banned and took a more toned down persona online here. Dont' get me wrong, canadians are great people, kind bunch and all around good people, but i never understand what they're talking aboot *insert south park reference here*

Members swardle
Swardle,Can you post a link to some of your music? Sincerely ... I am in the middle of my first guitar project since the grunge era. And, stupid me, almost all of my other tracks from my hardware keyboard days went with the gear when I got rid of it. I am still having sleepless nights over it. I promise that when I have something "KSS Worthy", I will post it. I have about a dozen backing tracks made in Reason 3 and it's coming along. Oh man, do I wish I would have backed up my work!!

Ya know, weak constitutions and all of that. It's not a big deal to me one way or another. I really do think that Victoria and Vancouver are two of the coolest places on the planet. I really dig the moderate climate and lush greenery. As far as the citizens go, you just accept their major shortcomings and learn to live with it. Members nice keetee
Lost months of work once on a hardware sequencer from hooking up a datadisk to back-up the data. Musta pushed the wrong button. I cried. Canada is the USA's best neighbor, I live about 3.5 hours away by car.

Members donaldcrunk
i'm trying to be bad ass. i always feel like i have to be at the absolute _top_ of my game for my age - i'm 22 now, and like i feel _slightly_ behind where i should be. i'm like one full length album behind - i thought i'd have 4 personal releases by now, i only have 3. btw, i'm only telling you guys this becuase it's 3 am, and i'm drunk and morose. my goal is to have _every_ piece of equipment i need to open my own studio by the time i graduate Columbia College, and i'm feeling okay about that - the big purchases are over, except for the actual space and renovation. i feel okay about that {censored}. i'm trying really hard to sell my niche - i do analog recordings, with focus on indie and experimental bands - but with the capability to do complex synthesis-related stuff. it's given me pretty good business so far, and with the popularity of that kind of music i feel like i've been riding the crest of the wave for a couple years - but this is what i want to do with my _life_, and there's always room for insecurity to creep in when your career is something as unpredictable as audio. anyway, i had to vent that. i'm having an.... interesting night. i enjoy this forum, thanks for respecting me despite my young age.
