Members LiveMusic
Like Harmony Central's CD deal through Disk Faktory -- 50 for $69 (plus shipping)... would you say having them (or similar company) do a run would be more reliable than my burning them on my own computer? Anyone know... it said shrink wrap is optional. I couldn't find any mention of how much additional cost it is.
Members doug osborne
The click-through says that they are duplicated onto CD-Rs. No different from the ones you can burn. Probably all you might save is time.
Members aliengroover
You also have to factor in the costs of either printing labels or printing directly onto the CD AND the ink associated with those tasks, and of course some good quality blanks themselves. I just did a demo package for this girl, and in the past I've typically included 20 CDs. I rolled off some bucks and recommended that she get them done through DiskFaktory.Peace
Members blue2blue
I'm pretty sure that's where one of my pals had a 50-run done and they looked sharp and clean -- if not especially fancy. (Plain jane typesetting, layout.) Sounded, you know, fine. He didn't mention any problems or bad burns and he would have, I think. I looked into a $200 / 100 CD deal from them and it sounded pretty good, thermal color image-based disk printing, shrink wrap, basic color insert and tray cards. Perfect for a gigging musician, seems to me... This is the kind of thing we used to dream about 15 years ago... then again, people still wanted CD's 15 years ago. Now, everytime I start getting all breathless over something like this I have to remind myself that when someone offers me a CD I almost always ask them if it isn't available online, instead. I don't need no more stinkin' physical product cluttering up my life, y'know? It might be different if a CD cover had any kind of impact -- like an LP cover. But that's gone. If I want to look at band art -- I go to their website. The paperless office was important. The storage-media-free home is my goal. (Okay... I'm not giving up a couple hundred of my LPs, under forseeable circumstances. And there are some important books, a few very old editions. But everything else is ephemera, whether it knows it or not.)

Back then I couldn't even dream of getting 100 dupes for just 2 bills.Peace

Members where02190
We have a vendor we use that does an excellent job offering 100 discs with full color print on CD-R's for $100 packaged in a nice thick paper see through sleeve.
