Members echoshock
Funny how creepy some song lyrics are when you write them down and take them out of the song. How about Aerosmith's 'Don't Wanna Miss a Thing'. Imagine writing this in a poem to a woman? I think she would call the police I could stay awake just to hear you breathing Watch you smile while you are sleeping While you're far away and dreaming I could spend my life in this sweet surrender I could stay lost in this moment forever Well, every moment spent with you Is a moment I treasure I don't wanna close my eyes I don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I'd miss you, baby And I don't wanna miss a thing

Members lsits
Every breath you takeEvery move you makeEvery bond you break, every step you takeI'll be watching you Every single dayEvery word you sayEvery game you play, every night you stayI'll be watching you Oh, can't you seeYou belong to me?How my poor heart achesWith every step you takeEvery move you makeEvery vow you breakEvery smile you fake, every claim you stakeI'll be watching you Since you've gone I've been lost without a traceI dream at night, I can only see your faceI look around, but it's you I can't replaceI feel so cold, and I long for your embraceI keep crying baby, baby please, Oh, can't you seeYou belong to me?How my poor heart achesWith every step you takeEvery move you makeEvery vow you breakEvery smile you fake, every claim you stakeI'll be watching youEvery move you make, every step you takeI'll be watching you I'll be watching youI'll be watching youI'll be watching youI'll be watching youI'll be watching you... Members Ernest Buckley
Yeah the police song is creepy with the music so that does it for me... Motley crue had a song on their Girls album called You`re all I need... No one played it... it was way to graphic. Too bad... the melody was actually good. btw- I believe Dionne Warren wrote the Aero tune.

I don't necessarily think it's creepy though--it's about someone who feels that time spent with the one they love is so precious, they don't want to miss a moment of it. Not one of Aerosmith's better moments, though. Every Breath You Take is a creepy song, but intentionally creepy, so it's OK.
Moderators Lee Knight Posted March 25, 2008 Moderators Share Posted March 25, 2008 With the mention of Snow Patrol... when I first got Final Straw, a great album in my opinion, the first song on the album sounds innocent enough. A small dispute between lovers. But on closer inspection a truly creepy drug infused argument is going on... Please take it easy It can't all be my faultI haven't made half the mistakes That you've listed so farBaby let me explain somethingIt's all down to drugsAt least I remember taking themAnd not a lot elseIt seems I've stepped over linesYou've drawn again and againBut if the ecstacy's inThe wit is definitely outDr. Jekyll is wrestling Hyde For my pride Gary Lightbody's lyrics manage to avoid almost any trace of rhyme. This just adds to the creepyness, rightness, and wrongness of it all. When he does rhyme it's like a well place period to cut to the point. A sharp period. Dr. Jekyll is wrestling Hyde for my pride. He sure is buddy. He's great. Listen to this verse with music and it brings logic to mayhem, or mayhem to logic, just like taking a lot of drugs does. Members lsits
"Goodnight Moon" by Shivaree is creepy with or without the music: There's a nail in the doorAnd there's glass on the lawnTacks on the floorAnd the TV is onAnd I always sleep with my guns when you're gone There's a blade by the bedAnd a phone in my handA dog on the floorAnd some cash on the nightstandWhen I'm all alone the dreaming stopsAnd I just can't stand What should I do I'm just a little babyWhat if the lights go outAnd maybe and then the wind just starts to moanOutside the door he followed me home So goodnight moonI want the sunIf it's not here soonI might be doneNo it won?t be too soon 'til I say goodnight moon There's a shark in the poolAnd a witch in the treeA crazy old neighbor and he's been watching meAnd there's footsteps loud and strong coming down the hallSomething's under the bedNow it's out in the hedgeThere's a big black crow sitting on my window ledgeAnd I hear something scratching through the wall What should I do I'm just a little babyWhat if the lights go outAnd maybe and then the wind just starts to moanOutside the door he followed me homeSo goodnight moonI want the sunIf it's not here soonI might be doneNo it won't be too soon 'til I say goodnight moon
