I'm thinking of doing this to an Agile as well. How does the action, etc., compare to a Bigsby? Well, obviously you're a LesTrem fan, but what do you like better about them?

It has about the same range as a Bigsby. What I like is that you don't have to drill any holes in the guitar to install it. Of course, the LesTrem is only good for guitars with tailpiece studs. Your typical Tele or trapeze tailpiece guitar would require a Bigsby.

Bigsby - in a word - SUCK

Nope. Not even close. I love my two Gretsches with Bigsbys. They play in tune and stay in tune, and look ridiculously cool.

Even PRS has gotten a case of Bigsby fever lately:

The bottom line is this--they won't work on crappy guitars with unstable tonewoods and poorly aligned bridges/necks/nuts. It takes a decent builder to create a guitar that is robust enough to handle the up and down movement without flexing parts out of tune.
