Members Atomic Sitar
Looking to put a Bigsby on a LP style guitar. B7 and B70 models are the norm but I'm wondering what significant disadvantages using a B30 might have. A bit cheaper, and I don't think you have to drill the top...but no tension bar...comments? Members wedgehed II
The Agile goldtop is stock except for the LesTrem. The Antoria has a roller bridge & its LesTrem has a replacement Gibson vibrola arm.
Members Atomic Sitar
I'm thinking of doing this to an Agile as well. How does the action, etc., compare to a Bigsby? Well, obviously you're a LesTrem fan, but what do you like better about them?

Been several threads about them here in the last couple months. Certainly looks to be a cool idea.

Well, obviously you're a LesTrem fan, but what do you like better about them? It has about the same range as a Bigsby. What I like is that you don't have to drill any holes in the guitar to install it. Of course, the LesTrem is only good for guitars with tailpiece studs. Your typical Tele or trapeze tailpiece guitar would require a Bigsby.
Members docjeffrey
Bigsby - in a word - SUCK Nope. Not even close. I love my two Gretsches with Bigsbys. They play in tune and stay in tune, and look ridiculously cool. Even PRS has gotten a case of Bigsby fever lately: The bottom line is this--they won't work on crappy guitars with unstable tonewoods and poorly aligned bridges/necks/nuts. It takes a decent builder to create a guitar that is robust enough to handle the up and down movement without flexing parts out of tune.
Members zbasstringer
What are said to be disadvantages of Bigsby's? Obviously they have to be installed correctly, but besides that, what problems are out there? If I ever got a Les Paul, I would want it to have a gold Bigsby. Ruin my dreams now if you want. Members Tweedledee
Looks like someone stole the shower handle out of a Sheraton.... Either that or a kickstand off of a cruiser bike. That Vibramate is a great idea. Like it says on the website: "Why didn't I think of that?!?"

Members Atomic Sitar
It's a Hallmark, based on the Mosrite design. I just checked out their website...there's some crazy stuff there! I wonder how that tremolo actually performs. Might not be for the guitar I had in mind, but can't say it isn't an elegant design... Members Wyatt
A B5 or B50 mounted with a vibramate is another option B5's and B50's use different mounting hole patterns, I believe the Vibramate is B5 only.
