Members Glenn F
I can get one of these reasonably priced. Any opinions? Or, should I save my pennies for something better? Thanks, Glenn
Members unistudent1980
I have the Bigsby version - AF75t in seafoam green. Personally I compared it to the Yamaha SA500, but I wanted something with a bigsby type trem. If I had to choose a hardtail version I'd probably opt for the yamaha. The AF75t I have is comfy enough but there's a few minor cosmetic details that could've been done a bit better, mainly the binding around the heel & f holes. But that got me $100AUD off so I can live with it. Also another I was a fan off was the EPI casino but sadly out of my budget at the time
Members Mo' Cowbell
I just did a bake off between the AF75 and AM73. In the end I chose the AM73, but only because it fit me better. There was nothing wrong with the AF75. Both guitars sounded great and looked well made. I don't think you can beat them for the price.
Members drawdeep
I have a red AF75T and I LOVE it. I tried lots of more expensive options and came back to the Ibanez.
Members Glenn F
Thanks for your replies. I also have an Artcore AS103NT, and am thinking of saving for an AF105 sunburst, which is about double the price of the AF75. My AS103NT rocks. I guess I'll have to go try the AF73 out and see. Cheers, Glenn
Members Doctor Morbius
I have an AFS75T. The only thing I don't like about it is the tone. The pickups don't sound good to my ear. I play it clean through a DRRI with a $200 Weber alnico speaker and it still sounds like mud. Keep in mind though that I've been getting spoiled lately with a lot of custom shop pickups. It plays great though and seems to be pretty well made. Frets aren't sharp and seem pretty level. It does have a little trouble staying in tune, but what guitar with a Bigsby does?
