Then again we don't know if she was or if they even used porn stars that year. I found the issue in my guitar magazines and I looked and on the inner cover they have in the margin the names and brands of the guitars the models are holding the lingerie,swimsuits they are wearing (Fredericks of Hollywood was the name that came up most often) but not the names of the models themselves. They made sure every picture had the photographers name Loretta Sullivan though. In the Effects section and the poster insert there is a brunette that looks like Teri Weigel but it can't be since it sort of looks liker her from the 90's and this would have been 11 years later. whoever the brunette is will forever be a mystery. Also how is it creepy wanting to know who people are? Lucky bastard.... yea man i saved up for that beast all summer working in a steel pipe fitting shop for a fire protection company. And keep in mind these were the good ol days when Zapf's music stores were still in the philly/jersey area (now they are music123)- they had a semi-annual half off deal- half off of list price on ANYTHING- got my PRS for $1200 brand new (I would later buy my hollowbody from them for 2k new a couple years down the road). Was a great guitar but I sold it cause I didn't like the natural wood look and wanted a singlecut- had a very nice flamed neck and was really versatile with the singlecoil and splitting abilities -I kind of regret it now but live and learn Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

PRS custom 22s with 10 tops went for $1600-1700 new- could you imagine LP customs for half off the list (and this is before the idiotic price hikes)- look up list price for a LP custom in your mag at that time, I'm curious. LPC in the 2001 Buyer's Guide= $4,499 Ace Frehley Signature= $6,222 1959 LP Re-Issue= $8,162 Cripes, that seems ridiculous back then and even if those prices were today I'd say it was ridiculous. What the hell are they now double? Damn Gibson is freaking greedy and downright arrogant to think they can command those prices and this was back in 2001... Shanna Moakler (just looked her up) was playmate of December 2001 which would have occured only a few months after this cover shoot. Her face looks nothing alike and her body is definitely not her. Good try though. This is what I mean the cover model here looks hotter than a Playboy Playmate, yet she managed to go undiscovered besides Guitar World's Buyers Guide 8 years ago..?
