Members Funkwire
Very cool. Thanks! The minimal staging...funny how times have changed. I watched a clip online of the Black-Eyed Peas on American Idol the other night. Before they played a note, the computerized lights were going crazy and the audience was SCREAMING...then the music started and it sucked donkey balls. Don't want to sound grumpy and old, but we've moved on to a new place. Not necessarily a better one.

I didn't get into Hendrix until I started playing guitar at age 14 and he had been dead 5 years by then. Didn't he die in 1971?

Members Verne Andru
Thanks for sharing. Reminds me of some "sock hops" I went to as a kid. Must have been extremely loud with gobs and gobs of room verb.
Members Verne Andru
$5 was a ton of money in those days. Comic books were still 10 cents, cigarettes were under a buck - probably 45 cents IIRC - and gas was around 35 cents a gallon.

Good memory - I just checked and gasoline was actually 36 cents a gallon in 1967: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_was_the_price_of_gas_in_1967
