Members DevilRaysFan
I just got an OK with my wife to take auditions for any Regional or National act that may need a bass player. At my age (40-something), it would be great to back someone on a Regional or National level as opposed to continuing gigging the local pub/club circuit like I have done for 25 years. My question is this: How do I find these jobs? Where do I look for these auditions (if any exist)? Are there any particular websites to go to? Should I look for an agent? Moderators Lee Knight Posted October 27, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 27, 2010 You've got to be in an area that supports large acts. Then, it usually comes from word of mouth between players. So, if you're near any music center, meet the players doing this kind of work... they're playing local gigs too.

Well, there goes that idea I live in a small city that may as well be cutoff from the rest of the world....for the most part, there isnt any music industry here...the nearest cities with that kind of industry are 1 1/2 and 2 Hours away...................
