Members skdmrklcy
Well I found this little one on clearance at Guitar Center and ended up walking out for about 450. It is a LTD EC-401VF. It had a small scratch on the waist of it, but the fact it had Seymour Duncan JB /
Members GreatDane
wow, it's a beauty, but that neck looks twisted. could be the camera angle, but that's concerning.
Members MyNameIsMok...
They should get you a new one to swap out without a bad neck. GC is good about that, I must say. Take it back.
Members skdmrklcy
I had the camera...aka Driod X phone sitting the the headstock so that it is flat in relation to the headstock. I was hoping you would all say I was nuts and it was fine... They have no more sadly. I could go to another location... but I am not sure they will exchange it for a new one since this one was a clearance item. I am sure they will refund me which starts the search again. I tried to buy a Strat or Tele first actually but ALL of them (MIM and the MIA I could reach) had sharp fret ends. I did mess with a Classic Vibe and it was great... I guess Fender should close down here and move to china.

GC is a HUGE chain store...location does not matter. I returned a guitar to a store in another state with no receipt before...the key is to go through the manager, not the sales dept (they work on commission). Members Snappy Hat
The low E looks like its barely in the nut slot. As in way to big for what was there before?
Members Flatspotter
Judging from that blurry, overexposed picture, I'm not making any judgments except HNGD!
Members larryguitar
Can't see well enough, but it looks like the NUT is sloping quite a bit; to see if the neck is really twisted, you have to view the distances between each fret, and I can't make that out in that photo. Members jrockbridge
I had a guitar with a twisted neck. It never stayed in tune very long. HNGD! (@Y@)
Members skdmrklcy
I will try to get a better picture tonight. I think it is actually the Nut and not the neck. The low E side of the nut sticks up higher than the high E. The Low E does seem a little high in the Nut as well. It makes the entire neck look out of whack. Members ExiledCrow
It kinda looks to me like it's the nut and not the neck ... but it's hard to tell from the pic, and hell even in person I might not be sure. I hope not, hope its a simple nut replacement away from a HNGD!
Members crashclc
Well she's a beauty. I hope the neck is fine. HNGD

Members skdmrklcy
Seems all is well. After looking up the Nut it is supposed to be like that. It is a Earvana compensated nut, it is different than a normal nut. I am not sure how I feel about it yet, but I like everything else so I think its a keeper. Yeah, the nut is supposed to be sloped like that. You're fine. If it plays well and sounds good- you got a good deal.
Members docjeffrey
Don't read too much into that photo. It's a freakin' camera phone, after all! Beautiful guitar. Looks a lot like mine for which I paid 3 times what you did:-{ It's cool, but I doubt whether it's 3 times as cool.
Members soldierblue
Looks like the nut. Compare the top tuners with the heel, should give you a better idea.
