Members Smilin' Bob
I find I have to stand to sing into my H4n because if I shift my weight it will pick up the chair squeaking! Interesting that you had the amp behind the mic. Sounds good!

Members littlemilo
That was really nice. My band back in the 70's did the Foghat version of that tune, which put me off playing it ever since. I love what you did with it.
Members Stackabones
killindux & littlemilo -- thanks for checking it out, y'all! Smilin' Bob -- I think I didn't explain the placement too well. mic on boom about three-and-a-half feet high -- > me/vox -- > amp on floor behind me So the amp was in line with the mic, but my body was blocking it a bit. And I have plenty of recordings of my chair squeaking! If the take has a good vibe and a chair squeaks, the take is still a keeper. There's one recording I did where as I hit the last chord (on 8-string uke) a motorcycle drove by my house. Almost perfect timing! No reason to cut it, ya know? I sometimes like the outside world intruding on my recordings, though sometimes it's just a pain.
