Thanks guys... I appreciate the compliments, but I just bolted a few things together and did some sanding and fitting. The painter did all the real work here but I'm definitely diggin' it.

 

And the inspiration came ENTIRELY from getting that burned neck for lowbrow. I respect the hell out of Jimi, but I'd never have thought to build up a tribute strat related to him but when I got that burned neck, I couldn't help myself.

 

It funny how a change can do you good as they say. I had these CS69s in a more surfy guitar for a few years and thought they sounded OK, but weren't really my thing. I put them in this guitar and I just can't seem to get over how great they sound.

You still did a few things I wouldn't trust myself doing. :lol:

 

And besides, as long as you own that guitar, you are still Tha Man. :rawk:
