this is one of the first tries with my new JT strat... it bets a bit muddled but heck

i like delay and it was fun... the playing is the worse kinda of contrived silly stuff.. but the guitar sound a lot better then i thought it would... must be the pups...

i think it was a Vox Ac30 with a healthy dose of reverb, delay and some chorus

also some compression and notched EQ..

Let's see...delay, Vox, reverb, chorus and strat..., yep that fits a Gilmour track alright! Good Job, Man!

yea thats a tough track to come up an idea on for me.. i tried doing some cappo for G tuning.. but i just could not come up with any thing that had legs.. ran out of ideas half way though..

seems like you had a better run on it... the strat sounded cool.. i was goofing around with a orange rocker verb and a fuzz tone.. but it just would not come together.. awell... good job on your go...

man thats some thick chours! cool.. thats another one of those Gilmore kinda tricks.

and ya did not cheat like i did... im not sure i can pull off any Gilmore tones with out a wash of delay..

nice work on this.. what was the gear...

Thanks scuzzo! I used my newly acquired '84 Ibanez Roadstar( NGD thread to come) straight into my Mustang II/USB to Audacity. Man I am lovin' this amp( and guitar:love:) for recording (and practice/lessons). I am a convert to the amp sim/comp style of recording. Not that I won't mic an amp if I feel the need, but I don't think I will need to. It's really great for capturing clean lead tones. The levels stay consistent and you can get the sustain needed. I am doing a "sultans" u2b lesson and this will really help. Trying to rec. clean lead with a mic has been tough as clean tones are so much more dynamic and the levels are all over the map. Also, the sustain needed seems to not come thru on the recording like what you hear in the room.. IDK why. Tried compression.

I used the "british 80's" (marsh) amp sim and light chorus.

p.s. been doing some jams at the LP forum. Cool Bt's! Thanks for the heads up on that:cool:
