Members Vibroluxman
lol. I just got my fiddle fixed up. Late 1800's homemade jobber. It's pretty sweet. Deserves someone better than I playing it, but I like it.
Members mnewb1
Very cool! What's the difference between a fiddle and a violin? Nothing really, same instrument, I guess when you're playing folk music it's a fiddle and when you're playing classical it's a violin. I plan on fiddling! Something with some Guinness in it or maybe a little jambalaya!

Slightly off topic: I usually save any thread I wish to make for the weekdays as there is a common trend for post activity to take a nose dive on the weekends. Members scott944
Thank You We've lived so far through 2 years of a budding 11 year old violist. I feel your pain. My youngest brother took it up briefly when he was still in elementary school. All instruments sound bad in the hands of a beginner, but violins/fiddles are in a whole different realm of bad-ness. Shoud be fun, though!
Members photon9
Congrats man. I wish I could convince myself to learn other instruments, but at this point at least, I want to focus on playing guitar better.

There is definitely a good argument for that approach, Lord knows there is sooo much more for me to learn on guitar....just a tangent of normal GAS I suppose.
